4. The Love of Your Life
There is one dreaded question asked every year during Christmas and it's "y la novia/el novio?" In English, "and the boyfriend/girlfriend?" At Christmas, you either have a significant other or you don't, and if you don't, there is something obviously wrong with you because now you are in 20s and should be looking to be married and have a family! For my cousins that do have a significant other, they are fine and doing great in life because they don't have to worry about silly questions and if the night is too much, well they can leave and say they're meeting up with them.
